L’Epée Imperial Hot Air Balloon

720-00399

Description

L’Epée 1839’s Imperial Hot Air Balloon is a singular creation of horological and artistic brilliance — an 8-day table clock adorned with over 1,600 hours of Grand Feu cloisonné enamelwork by master artisan David Kakabadze. Inspired by the Montgolfier brothers’ legendary 1783 ascent, its sculptural form, opulent gold detailing, and celestial motifs pay homage to the dawn of human flight and the spirit of Enlightenment innovation. Driven by L’Epée’s in-house 1855 LR caliber with Incabloc shock protection and a vertically integrated display, time is read from stacked rotating cylinders, while the basket itself winds the movement.
